Say hello
From early on Rayce has been learning how to talk on the phone. Ok well, maybe not actually talking on the phone but we often hold it up to his ear so he can "talk" to whoever is calling. Between both grandmas living out of town and daddy calling throughout the day, Rayce probably got more talkin' time then he wanted. But I'm thrilled to say all that phone talkin' has paid off! Last night Ray was just joking around and handed a play phone to Rayce and he held it up to his ear and said "hello"! Then he continued to babble as if he was having a conversation.
My heart instantly went pitter patter.
Ahh, it's moments like these that make it all worth it.

First steps
Rayce took his first steps at the beginning of the week. It was so unexpected and out of nowhere. Ray and I were just joking around and told Rayce "go to daddy" and he did. Then he did it over and over. It was to darn cute. I cried of course.
Now he will take a few steps here and there, mostly from the coffee table to the couch. Sometimes he doesn't realize he is doing it, not really paying attention and I get startled then he gets startled. We're learning together, it's definitely going to take some getting use to.

Elmo is a no go
I repeat elmo is a no go. Rayce is without a doubt scared of Elmo. The real life version anyway. He loves to watch Elmo on tv but for some reason he is terrified of my hokey pokey Elmo. Here's a video check it out for yourself.
If you listen I ask Rayce if he likes Elmo and he responds!
Me: "You don't like Elmo?"
Rayce: "NOOOOOOOO!"
Sounds like it to me...What do you think?

Walker update
I am pleased to announce that Rayce has now mastered his walker. In fact he’s too good at it now and apparently I didn’t child proof the kitchen.
He has had the hang of his walker for quite sometime now, I just forgot to post an update. He now knows how to open the cabinets and is very curious as to what is in them. If he gets stuck in a corner he know how to backup or turn his way out of it. He like to run in the thing instead of walk. It is too funny and a blast to watch. Here’s a video see for yourself!
Oh and one more thing, WARNING: Do not attempt to walk barefoot while in the kitchen with Mr. Walker, he will run over your feet and then proceed to laugh.

Cheerio boy
Rayce loves his Cheerio's! This boy will stop dead in his track to pick up a cheerio if he spots one. His obsessions had become quite entertaining. It's too funny.

On all fours
I caught him on video crawling on all fours! He wanted me to pick him up and was chasing me lol. If you look real close when he opens his mouth you can see his tooth. It's a long shot but give it a try!
